St. Austin Catholic School strives for excellence in the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, parents, and visitors. Our clinic is staffed by Nurse Murray, who is a registered nurse.
MEDICATION ALL medications brought to school are required to have the following:
• Signed orders from the parent/guardian and physician must be on file.
• All medication must be provided in the original container.
• Prescribed medication with a pharmacy label that matches the written orders.
• All medication must be provided to the school by the parents.
• School personnel will review TCCB ED and diocesan guidelines to ensure medication may be administered.
• A completed Medication Permission Form is approved for one academic school year.
•An “Individualized Health Care Plan” specific to the condition requiring medication (if applicable).
IMMUNIZATIONS *Vaccines are required to be up to date prior to the first day of school per Texas State Law. (Remember to recheck up-to-date status prior to Kindergarten and 7th grade as new vaccine requirements are necessary for attendance in those specific grade levels.) OUTSIDE FOOD
For occasions that may permit outside food to be shared with students, please ask the homeroom teacher or nurse about possible allergies and foods to avoid.
